Our customer out in East Lansing asked what can be done about this old rock bed with no characteristics. We set the goal out to create a retaining wall that matched the home and also had a functioning aspect to it. The PVC pipes were installed to make sure to keep as much water out and to flow out somewhere else. Following the retaining wall we added a Red Dragon Japanese Maple along side some Mariesii plants, topped off with Mi 1"-3" stone.
